Diesel mechanic

KNK Equipment is a small family-owned nonunion company that started up in 2008. We are a company that encourages getting jobs done the correct way and won't take short cuts when it comes to fixing and maintaining equipment. We constantly have new projects come in every day and we are ready to add to our team. We are looking for someone knowledgeable in diesel engines that will hustle and get projects done and done right. Safety is always our first priority when it comes to working here, weather that is the way we execute a task or keeping our vehicle up to DOT standards to ensure everybody remains in a safe work environment. You must provide your own tools, but we will provide you with safety equipment and the right software to complete tasks. We typically work 8-hour work weeks, although weekends and overtime are sometimes required. Health and dental Insurance is 50/50

Tasks:

Keep all on road and off-road equipment maintained

preventive maintenance on belts, hoses, bearings, etc.

diagnose and repair emission issues

diagnose and repair electrical issues in harnesses and censors

troubleshoot and fix suspension and braking components

fix minor and major engine issues

rebuild hydraulic and air cylinders

make hydraulic hoses

perform bit inspections

do tire changes on select sizes

order proper parts for the job

write up work orders on the tasks you performed
