IT Systems Analyst – Santa Ana

Sierra Cybernetics is seeking a highly motivated and talented IT Systems Analyst to work for us supporting our local government client – the City of Santa Ana Police Department.

This is a full-time contract position, fully on-site at the Santa Ana City Hall, expected to be 12 months or more.

Open to US citizens, green card holders, and H1-B candidates.

Requirements and Responsibilities

Detail-oriented to be sure settings and data entries are accurate and consistent.

Create/manage user accounts in a wide variety of systems – includes changing permissions and resetting passwords.

Strong ability to write Microsoft SQL code to do data mining tasks.

Use SSIS and Power BI to create reports and dashboards.

Clear English communication, orally and in writing.

Willing to undergo training to learn reporting standards of FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting system.

Desired Skills/Knowledge

Support interfaces between systems using common data formats such as XML, JSON, CSV, etc., and technologies including web-services, FTP, etc.

Basic programming skills using technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, .Net, etc.

Experience with Active Directory, specifically Security Groups and Distribution Lists.

Basic understanding of computer networking principles, including equipment and protocols.
