Work Creation Program is an Adult Day Program/Behavior Management Day Program in Orange County providing services to adults with developmental disabilities (Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, and Intellectual Disabilities) who are 18 years of age or older, focusing on Vocational Skills, Social Skills, Community Skills, and Behavior intervention services.

Our goal is to integrate participants into the community by empowering them in recognizing and reaching their maximum potential in supportive and nurturing environments. We are dedicated in designing unique programs through understanding our participant’s wants, wishes, and dreams and assisting them in attaining their personal goals with the purpose of living happier and more balanced lives. Seeking caring and energetic staff to work with adults with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct initial and in-depth assessments and develop individual service strategy plans.

· Review and analysis of assessment data (with a demonstrated ability to gather data and evaluate accordingly)

· Evaluate and monitor progress of participants during a semi- annual period and annual period by developing progress reports.

· Attendance and participation of interdisciplinary team meetings.

· Provide follow-ups to participants, families, and other corresponding agencies.

· Maintenance of case records and participant charts within all confidentiality guidelines

· Review of case records and staff training regarding goal implementation and documentation

· Maintain timely and accurate documentation of services in accordance with agency and contractual guidelines for quality assurance.

Minimum Employment Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree required; field of Human Services preferred.

· Education in a Human Service or related field may substitute for experience. Three years’ experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Must demonstrate critical thinking skills, planning, strong organizational, verbal and communication skills.

· Must have a reliable car

· Maintain a valid driver's license

· Provide ongoing proof of current state required automobile insurance

· Clean driving record with no points

· Must be able to pass criminal record clearance

Skills and Abilities Preferred:

· Experience with developmental disabilities as a direct support staff implementing and tracking progress on program goals

· Two years’ experience writing and implementing vocational plans in a program setting preferred

· Knowledge of behavior modification, human growth and development; familiarity with persons with developmental disabilities and awareness of programming needs; demonstrated ability to work independently and organize work; ability to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team; and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required

Work Schedule:

· Full Time - Monday through Friday

· Hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with adjusted hours on selected days ranging from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm

· Occasional overtime

· Work is office based from our HQ in Santa Ana

Compensation:

· $25.00 an hour

· $0.70 cent mileage reimbursement

· Paid vacation time

· Paid sick hours

· Paid Holidays

· $10 per month for electronic device usage
