Career Opportunity - Facilities Administrator
California, Orange county 00000 Orange county USAThis position is charged with the maintenance of our buildings and coordination of all campus activities under the direction of the Operations Manager.
The Facilities Manager serves to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and readiness of Church facilities to enable the work and ministry of the congregation and to create a pleasant atmosphere for members, guests, and staff. This includes deep cleaning of the kitchen, restrooms, church, and general gathering space(s), as well as basic household chores and changing out supplies as needed.
The Facilities Administrator will advise the Operations Manager of dangers/concerns about the condition and maintenance of buildings and grounds.
Scheduled Work Hours: 40 per week
The successful candidate must be somewhat flexible, with the availability to work various hours as events on our campus require. The Facilities Administrator will meet with the Operations Manager weekly to assess the needs of our campus events and be flexible enough with their schedule to meet those needs.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
High level of attention to detail.
Ability to work with a variable schedule, depending on the season and events on the Church calendar.
Must be able to work all Saturdays, Sundays, and church holidays. Alternate days off are provided in coordination with your supervisor.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least one year of related janitorial or custodial experience is strongly preferred.
Able to lift 40 pounds and climb stairs and ladders as required.
Able to regularly move tables, stack chairs, move, and set up sound systems.
Able to use cleaning and maintenance materials and equipment safely.
Able to work cooperatively as a member of a team as well as independently.
Able to work tactfully under occasional pressure.
Able to interact courteously and respectfully with diverse staff, volunteers, congregation members, visitors, vendors, and clients.
Able to communicate verbally and in writing in English; basic computer skills needed to read, comprehend, and respond to written instructions, schedules, notifications, and emails.
