Assemblers for First Shift

Job Description

Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed

Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixtures, or other holding devices

Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment

Mounts assembled components, on chassis panels, shells, connectors

Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points

Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified visual inspection and dimensional characteristics

Performs on-line go-no-go testing and inspection, using magnifying devices, measuring instruments, and test equipment to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards

Terminations of Fiber Optic termini involving various tools, epoxy procedures, crimping, handling and inspection

Reading of drawings/blueprints, production documentation, complete documentation, maintain high quality workmanship and organizational habits

Preparation and inspection of components for assembly; cleaning, part verification and fit-checks.

Measuring, cutting, stripping, cleaning, inspection and handling of fiber optic cables in preparation for termination

Polishing of Fiber Optic termini and visual inspection using microscope.
