About Us: Power Plus Cleaning Solutions Inc. is a disaster remediation company specializing in manufacturing technology to meet the demands of national and global disasters. Our company has played active roles in remediating many of the nation’s disasters such as 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, the Gulf Oil Spill, and the BP Oil Spill. When not attending to disasters, we market to carpet cleaning and restoration professionals, manufacturing and retailing cleaning equipment, servicing equipment, and offering training on cleaning techniques.
Job Summary: After the unfortunate passing of our previous business attorney, we are looking for a long-term partnership with an attorney who has a firm understanding of contract law and litigation. Our business has approximately 5 legal cases a year between us and our customers as well as about 10 Collection Cases. We are looking for an attorney that’s aggressive, who is thorough, discerning, and able to deliver high quality work in a timely manner. The attorney would be required to perform the full range of legal research, analysis, law interpretation, and litigation for the company on an as-needed basis. Additionally, the attorney would be required to advise the president on legal matters and provide both offensive and defensive representation for Power Plus in court.
Reporting Relationship: The attorney would be required to report to Kevin Wang, the President of Power Plus.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: The attorney must be a skilled communicator, operating in the best interest of Power Plus, able to prepare clear and concise legal documents and briefs, and apply statutes and codes applicable to Power Plus’ cases. The attorney must also represent Power Plus in court, competently advocating with clear and logical arguments, and adhering to the facts presented in the case.
Education and Experience: The attorney must have graduated from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association and have at least (5) years of experience as a practicing business attorney within a private firm. The attorney must also be a current and good standing member of the California State Bar Association.
