Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Bankruptcy and Probate Paralegal at Southern California Law Advocates in Santa Ana, CA, with some flexibility for remote work. We’re seeking an experienced Bankruptcy/Probate Paralegal to join our distinguished solo practice and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional legal service with integrity and expertise. The position requires that you work from the office initially and over time transition to remote work for at least 2-4 days out of the week. Only serious applicants.
Qualifications
Legal Document Preparation and Document Review skills
Strong Communication skills
Research abilities
Knowledge of Bankruptcy and Probate law
Organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Experience in a legal setting is a plus
Paralegal certification or degree in Legal Studies
Preferable candidate:
Has Bestcase, MyCase, ECF Filing, and Pacer experience.
Is good at problem solving and is analytical.
Works independently and knows how to prioritize tasks.
Is bilingual in Spanish.
Responsibilities Include:
Scheduling appointments for bankruptcy and estate planning.
Gathering documents from clients, organizing client documents, filing bankruptcy cases in court, gathering post-filing documents from clients, and submitting documents to the trustee.
Preparing initial probate petitions and filing them in court, filing supplemental paperwork for probate.
Entering preliminary estate planning information for living trust and other estate planning documents.
Full time position Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5 pm. Benefits: Health insurance, 1-week paid vacation and 4 paid holidays. Interested candidates should email their salary history and requirements for consideration.
