Geotechnical Engineer

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer in Oakland, CA:Perform geotechnical field inspections, geologic mapping, landslide mapping and crack monitoring on dam abutments and around the reservoir rims for analyzing subsurface conditionsConducted stability analysis, including seepage analysis, materials characterization and other modelling features for embankment dams on multiple dam designs projectsPerform deformation analysis on selected embankment design and prepared data for numerical modeling analysisExecute liquefaction triggering assessment for dam projects, lateral earth pressure, and bearing capacity pressure calculations for related structuresPrepare ground motion response spectra corresponding to different earthquake models for report useField investigation planning, coordination and oversight including preparing work plans, health and safety plans and coordination with subcontractors and client representatives
