The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. The role can be located in the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City. In this role, you will provide legal support to LinkedIn Product and Engineering AI teams to ensure that LinkedIn can continue to, lawfully and, in a members-first manner, develop cutting edge AI technology in a compliant manner. You will work in a fast-paced, diverse, collaborative, and motivated legal department that values humor and teamwork. You will partner with stakeholders across the company to provide guidance and drive smart, legally compliant, and “members first” solutions.Responsibilities:Work collaboratively within and outside of the legal department to help ensure that LinkedIn products and processes are compliant with applicable laws and regulations relating to consumer protection, security, and privacy.Advise on AI development and deployment-related compliance mattersAssist in building and sustaining a best-in-class AI governance programProvide legal counsel on relevant consumer product and feature development.Document counseling and help organize and drive legal processes.Stay current on policy issues and legal developments relating to social media platforms.Advise teams on legal issues related to data management and use.Draft clear, consistent disclosures and terms to enable our members and customers to make informed choices about their data and use of LinkedIn’s products.Collaborate and build relationships with industry peers.Attend ongoing industry working groups and training on relevant subject areas.Play an active role in fulfilling LinkedIn's mission of connecting the world's professionals to make them more productive and successful by being an integral member of our fast-paced, well-rounded, collaborative, and FUN Legal & Public Policy team.
