There are currently two Service Maintenance Trainee/Worker vacancies in the Street and Sidewalk Maintenance Division of the Public Works Department. Under supervision, the Service Maintenance Trainee/Worker performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled assignments in the construction, maintenance and repair of City streets and storm drains and performs related duties as assigned. Minimum requirements for Service Maintenance Trainee/Worker are high school degree or equivalent, one year of construction-related experience which includes asphalt and/or concrete work, and a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment. The Service Maintenance Worker requires an additional six months of experience performing duties comparable to those of the Service Maintenance Trainee. Possession of a valid California Class A driver's license with air brake endorsement is desirable.
