Substitute Classroom Aide

As a Substitute Classroom Aide, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning environment by assisting teachers in various classroom activities. Responsibilities:

Classroom Support: Provide assistance to teachers in implementing lesson plans and maintaining a positive learning atmosphere.

Student Interaction: Interact with students in a supportive and encouraging manner, fostering a conducive learning environment.

Behavior Management: Assist in managing student behavior, ensuring a respectful and inclusive classroom culture.

Instructional Support: Offer support during instructional activities, including small group sessions, to ensure students grasp concepts effectively.

Supervision: Monitor students during class transitions, lunch, and recess periods to ensure a safe and secure environment.

Communication: Maintain open communication with teachers and school staff to stay informed about daily routines, expectations, and any specific student needs.

Flexibility: Adapt to various grade levels, subjects, and classroom dynamics as a substitute in different classrooms within the school.

Professionalism: Uphold a high level of professionalism, punctuality, and confidentiality in all interactions with students, staff, and parents.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (some college coursework in education or related field is a plus).

CPR Certified

Previous experience working in a setting with children.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with teaching staff.

Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.

Understanding of diverse learning needs and the ability to support a variety of student abilities.
