After School Entrepreneurship Instructor

Position Pay: One-time $200 stipend for onboarding and getting to know the curriculum then $50/hour (chapter) for 14 chapters, three times per year. Multiple schools available across Merced county, so not limited to the city of Merced. Looking to hire 3-4 people.

Position Description:

The position will be on site, in-person at schools across Merced County. The instructor will spend 1 hour per day, twice per week for 7 weeks in the fall, the spring and the summer.

Duties will include the following:

Oversee lesson plan implementation

Facilitate group exercises and discussions

Review student worksheets, essays and quizzes

Meet with students on a weekly bases to help them walk through the steps of launching their own business – i.e. building website, designing business cards and developing a marketing strategy.

How to lead group discussions

How to execute lesson plans

How to be a teacher, mentor and role model

How to work with, encourage and inspire middle school aged students

How to help middle school aged students launch their own business

How to build an online presence – i.e. website, company name, brand, appearance, marketing strategy etc.

How to work with a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software platform

How to apply the theory they will be teaching to their own interests

Qualifications for the position:
