You may very well be the ideal candidate for this position and we encourage you to apply.About the PositionOur cooks are passionate about great food and exceptional service. In this position, our cook will prepare a hot breakfast including one hot entree and a freshly baked item, carefully load breakfasts into picnic baskets, and deliver the baskets to guestrooms, contactlessly leaving them outside the front door. We have 19 rooms meaning breakfast will need to be prepared for 38 guests on full nights. This position is a one-person operation. Our cook is responsible for preparing the food, delivering it to guestrooms, collecting baskets after breakfast, washing and putting away dishes, and cleaning the kitchen. We are looking for the right individual to take ownership of the kitchen. A valid driver's license and a vehicle are required as our 19 rooms are spread out into three different buildings in the village of Mendocino. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Cooks one hot breakfast item (egg frittata, french toast, quiche, etc.) and one baked good (muffins, loaves, oat bars, etc.) daily.

Carefully packs up breakfast items, including coffee and sides, into a picnic basket to deliver to guestrooms.

Preps ingredients for the following day.

Prepares mini-picnics for guests, each day, including individual cheese plates, crackers, and fresh-baked cookies.

Bakes fresh cookies daily.

Maintain sanitary conditions and a well-organized kitchen.

Washes and restocks dishes as baskets are returned to the kitchen.

Must sanitize and clean the kitchen thoroughly at the end of the shift for the next morning.

Assists with creating a weekly food order for the general manager.

Unpacks kitchen supplies & groceries and puts them away.

Maintains a current Food Handler's Certificate

Uses equipment and materials in a safe and acceptable manner, follows established safety procedures, uses appropriate safeguards, and observes common-sense rules of safety in all on-the-job activities.
