Delivery Driver for a Laundry Service in Santa Monica

We are a busy laundromat offering residential and commercial laundry pickup and delivery. We are looking for a responsible Delivery Driver to pick-up and deliver laundry orders promptly to our customers. You will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction.

Our current delivery schedule is on Sunday-Friday but looking to go 7 days a week. Orders are picked up and delivered daily between 4pm-10pm (in 2 hour slots). We provide our own van for deliveries and app based platform. You must have a smart phone.

This job is ideal for someone who works for Lyft, Uber, DoorDash, Amazon to supplement their income.

Responsibilities for a Laundry Service Delivery Driver

1. Pick-up and Delivery:

o Collect laundry from customers and deliver freshly cleaned items on time and in good condition.

o Adhere to scheduled pick-up and delivery times, ensuring timely service.

2. Customer Service:

o Provide friendly, professional, and courteous service to customers.

o Address customer questions or concerns about their laundry orders.

o Handle special instructions from customers regarding laundry preferences or delivery notes.

3. Vehicle Maintenance and Management:

o Operate the delivery vehicle safely and efficiently.

o Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition.

o Report any mechanical issues or damages to the appropriate personnel promptly.

4. Order Management:

o Verify the accuracy of orders being delivered, ensuring all items are accounted for.

o Use company-provided tools (e.g., apps or printed schedules) to track and manage delivery routes.

o Maintain organized records of deliveries and pick-ups.

5. Safety Compliance:

o Follow all local traffic laws and company safety guidelines while driving.

o Properly secure laundry items in the vehicle to avoid damage during transit.

6. Team Collaboration:

o Coordinate with laundry facility staff to ensure accurate and complete orders.

o Communicate any customer feedback or issues to the team for resolution.

7. Physical Duties:

o Load and unload laundry bags or bins from the vehicle.

o Lift and carry items safely, adhering to proper lifting techniques.

8. Flexibility and Reliability:

o Adapt to route changes or last-minute delivery requests as needed.

o Be dependable and punctual for all scheduled shifts.

9. Adherence to Company Standards:

o Always represent the company in a professional manner.

o Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering quality service consistently.

10. Inventory Management:

Track and report any missing or damaged items during the delivery process.

Follow protocols for handling special or high-value items.

Qualifications

Fluent English speaking

Safe driving record

No criminal record

Prefer if you have a car to get to and from work

Valid Driver's License

Non smoker (no smoking at all allowed in car)

Exceptional customer service skills

Ability to work well under little to no supervision

Friendly and personable

knows how to use GPS and knows directions
