Have you been an excellence delivery person, but never given a chance to move up?

Have you worked closely with management or supervision in a transportation company?

Do you want to get ahead and know you have what it takes?

Do you have experience as a Supervisor or Dispatcher?

Experience supervisors ready to take the position without training may skip training period requirements.

Training:

Operational Training (4-6 weeks): Learn assigned routes. Cover & evaluate assigned routes. Provide feedback to supervision as needed.

Administrative Training (2-4 weeks): Learn internal sort, paperwork and other administrative routines, interact with other departments & personnel within the company.

Expected working 8-10 hours per day, 5 days/week.

Specific duties to include, but not limited to:

Daily, stage or assist in staging shipments to appropriate routes,

Coordinate all office activities to include pickups & deliveries (e.g. routing, scheduling, etc.),

Conduct staff and courier training as needed to include operational duties, understanding of internal policies and

procedures,

Prepare or institute appropriate daily logs as needed,

Serve as back up to any position under your supervision,

Assist depot manger with operational and administrative requirements,

Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications:

Be a people friendly person and respectful to others,

Be safety oriented with attention to details,

Effective communicator in English & Spanish,

Able to supervise others

Willing and capable of dealing with; frequent interaction with others, incoming/outgoing shipments with frequent

interruptions, and variety of interrelated tasks.

Monitor couriers’ performance and maintain accurate records,

Good with numbers. Able to assess issues logically according to and in compliance with company guidelines,

Demonstrated basic computer competency. Microsoft Office experience preferred,

Ability to continue upgrading knowledge and skills needed to better utilize available resources.

Requires sustained concentration, use of reasoning, judgment, resourcefulness, analytical ability, and ingenuity,

Requires valid California driver's license. Must maintain a “satisfactory” driving record.
