Construction Project Manager and Sales/Marketing

Established 23-year old family owned general contractor in the Long Beach area is looking to bring in a person with T.I. connections and/or sales skills/knowledge with Project Management and Estimating experience. The owner is looking to step away and have more freedom to travel, family-time, etc. This is an opportunity for someone that wants to help this company grow.

So, a qualified candidate for this position will bring these certain skills to the table:

Leadership on all projects

Responsible for the overall field supervision of the commercial/residential construction project.

Plan and implement safety on site to ensure a safe working environment.

Work closely with the project team to ensure that the best possible outcome is achieved.

Key Essential Functions:

Responsible for all day-to-day operations on the project site including but not limited to:

Troubleshooting

Paperwork

Complete knowledge of subcontracts

Complete knowledge of contracts and change orders

Complete knowledge of schedules and budgets

Selective sales calls/marketing

Contract negotiation

Understanding of project documents

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in using a computer and the below listed programs:

Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

Must have strong organization and time management skills.

Ability to multi-task under time constraints and work effectively as a team player.

Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance.

Tactful, professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with managers, employees, vendors and others.

Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.

Ability to encourage and motivate your construction team.

Carpentry experience is a plus.

MISCELLAENOUS:

Potential commission/salary per project if you have client history, referrals.

Salary is negotiable based on experience
