Part-Time Field Operator - Water Treatment System

Part-time position with flexible hours: 8-15 hours per week

Some on-call or weekend work may be required depending on operational needs.

As a Part-Time Field Operator, you will play a crucial role in the operation and maintenance of our water treatment facilities. You will work closely with our team to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the system, monitor performance, and address any issues that arise. This position requires a blend of technical skills and hands-on experience in a field environment.

Key Responsibilities:

-Operate and monitor biological water treatment systems to ensure they are running efficiently and effectively

-Perform regular maintenance tasks, including cleaning, calibrating and inspecting equipment

-Track system performance through data collection and analysis, and report any anomalies or system issues

-Identify and troubleshoot problems with the treatment process and equipment, making adjustments and repairs as needed

-Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment

-Maintain accurate records

-Work closely with the other team members and departments to coordinate efforts and address operational challenges

Qualifications

-High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in water treatment or related field a plus

-Previous experience in water treatment operations or a related technical field is preferred but not required.

-Familiarity with biological water treatment processes and related equipment is an advantage

-Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to address and resolve operational issues efficiently

-Good verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting and collaboration

-Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, climbing and working in various environmental conditions
