This role is responsible for all services (repairs/updates) performed on LiteGear products. The Service Tech will provide support for all returns, issue logs and electrical repairs. Additionally, the Service Technician will be a key bridge to new product development and sustaining engineering improvement ideas.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assess all returning products. Troubleshoot and identify technical repair needs.

Repair returning product from customers and rentals.

Maintain and track inventory needed for all servicing needs.

Work with customers directly on more in-depth troubleshooting and technical needs.

Communicate updates on all current projects, while accurately tracking them for the Service

Able to visit on-location sites to diagnose and repair products for customers.

Maintain a clean and organized tech repair desk atmosphere.

Collaborate as needed to develop technical service and instructive documents.

Participate in New Product Development activities to ensure end-product meets quality and serviceability needs.

Collaborate with Engineering Personnel on technical developments, product improvement recommendation, and road mapping as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Electronics technical repair experience a must

Expert at wiring, soldering, as well as all other aspects of servicing LEDs and dimmers. IPC certification preferred.

A high attention to detail

Ability to disassemble and reassemble technical products based online drawings/schematics

Critical thinking and problem-solving experience

Ability to work quickly under pressure

Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to create and document work performed.

Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively

Able to drive self-education from technical manuals and product overviews, and read electrical schematics

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred

2 years of experience within a technical manufacturing/production/repairs role preferred

Experience in the lighting, manufacturing, or production industry preferred
