California, Los angeles, 90001 Los angeles USAWe are a religious, non-profit. Our talented team is dedicated to helping those on the margins of society. We teach students a marketable job skill (welding), giving them dignity and enabling them to provide for their families re-igniting a hope for their future. Due to the generosity of our donors, the class is offered at no-charge.
(3) semi-truck and trailers are outfitted as mobile training centers. We offer classes mostly in the LA County area with occasional classes in Sacramento and Orange Counties. The job would entail driving the semi-truck and Mobile Training Center tractor trailer to and from class locations. We require a valid California commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record. No DUI/DWI convictions in the past seven years and a certificate from an accredited CDL school. Driving duties would include:
. Keep inside and outside of truck and trailer in nice presentable condition.
. Schedule/perform any required maintenance.
. Perform all pre-inspection steps, obey and follow all traffic laws and secure cargo.
. Maintain a clean driving record.
. Communicate with Supervisor about any equipment issues that may require outside expert assistance.
We will train you to be a welding coach and receive at least one welding certification. When not driving, you will assist with classroom and trailer welding instruction as needed and as skills develop. Act as a coach in welding processes you are certified in, mentor students encouraging and celebrating their successes to build their confidence.
Know that you will be changing lives. As a religious non-profit, all applicants should be spiritually mature as evidenced by observable walk with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, show compassion to people of all walks of life like Jesus did to nurture the spiritual and emotional well-being of those we serve and preserve the loving environment we try to create by welcoming the uniqueness and honor the dignity of every student in our school.
