Machinist Assistant $21 + Benefits

A growing and profitable manufacturer of aerospace parts in Simi Valley is looking to hire a Machinist Assistant

Hours: Second shift

Pay: $21.00

Qualifications

Experience in machine operation and set-up

Demonstrated ability to perform basic mathematical calculations

Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions in English

Experience running I.D., O,D. or Centerless grinders

Responsibilities

Manually spherical lap inner diameters using a conventional drill press

Deburr parts by breaking sharp edges on internal and external surfaces

Utilize deburring tools such as files, Dremels, die grinders, polishing wheels, and more

Measure parts using calipers and check threads with thread gauges

Adjust machine settings (time, pressure) to meet part size specifications

Communicate process details to improve efficiency
