Mechanical Assembler

Full-time

General:

Under close supervision, receive units from Test and Burn-In operations, determine if units go to finished goods inventory or require additional processing, such as: housing, sensors, wells, etc. Review traveler to determine if additional work is required, pull proper drawings and modify units accordingly.

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform mechanical assembly tasks using hand and power tools.

Prepare housings; assemble mounting blocks and R-boxes.

Marry sensor and wells to units, forward to test to wire and/or do calibration.

Maintain khan bans, min/max and inventory levels on component parts used in area.

Maintain tools and equipments in good working order, clean and ready for use.

Interface with other departments (Sales, Engineering and Test).

Determine proper drawings required per traveler.

Locate, review and understand assembly steps required.

Modify units per JCR’s.

Incorporate ECO’s as released.

Engrave metal tags per traveler.

Self inspect work to ensure modifications are completed per customer requirements and MII standards.

Meet and follow MII Corporate Quality Systems.

All other assigned and essential duties.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

High school graduate, trade school or equivalent.

Less than one year of mechanical assembly experience.

Basic communication skills, both oral and written, in English.

Able to safely and properly use hand and power tools.

Ability to read and understand drawings.

Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance required.
