Electrical Engineer (Machine Shop)

I own a 35 year old machine shop and started an additional company in 2017 that manufactures welding machines and now things are booming. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with the ability to interpret, analyze and install the electrical systems with minimal supervision or direction. Bilingual, English/Spanish would be very helpful but not required.

Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process

- Understand and implement designs from technical drawings

- Program using C software

- Interact with contractors and customers using verbal and written communication

- Make presentations to clients and coworkers

- Attend company meetings

- Create product documentation and records

- Inspect electrical components during and after the product installation

- Test electronics for problems and proposing solutions

Requirements:

- At least 3 years of experience in a fabrication/production/manufacturing environment

- Must be available 40+ hours per week

- Be able to analyze 3D/2D drawings and models (ie. .dxf, .dwg, .stp, etc.)

- Expert with Solidworks 3D software

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Highly organized and detail oriented

- Outstanding leadership skills

- Be a team player
