Construction Project Manager - Parks and Recreation
California, Los angeles, 90001 Los angeles USAChilds Play is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee parks and recreation projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing schedules and project teams while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards. This role is pivotal in enhancing community spaces and recreational facilities, providing safe and enjoyable environments for all.
The Construction Project Manager will handle daily onsite reporting for various job sites. This may involve traveling to different projects each day or staying at a single site, depending on the circumstances. Responsibilities include ensuring that subcontractors and vendors arrive on time and complete their scheduled work. They will monitor progress, keep tasks on track, and address any scheduling issues that arise.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Coordinate cross-functional teams, including subcontractors, vendors, and municipal staff, to ensure project goals are met.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including safety, environmental, and zoning laws.
Quality Assurance: Monitor construction progress and quality, conducting daily site inspections to ensure work meets design specifications and standards.
Problem-Solving: Identify potential issues and implement solutions to mitigate risks and ensure project timelines are met.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and next steps.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably with a focus on parks and recreation projects.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with excellent organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
Clean driving record.
Valid CA Driver License (Required)
High School or equivalent (Preferred)
Driving: 3 years (preferred)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to traverse construction sites and engage in physical activities as needed.
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
