Registered Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a warm, skilled, and reliable Registered Dental Hygienist to join our highly respected periodontal office in Beverly Hills. Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth

Assess patient oral health and document findings in electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care

Assist in the administration of local anesthesia and other necessary treatments

Conduct vital signs monitoring and review medical history for each patient

Utilize dental terminology accurately during patient interactions and documentation

Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques during procedures

Collaborate with the dental team in four-handed dentistry to enhance patient care efficiency

Keep abreast of current dental practices, including medical imaging techniques and documentation review

Requirements

Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice

Experience with Dentrix software preferred but not required

Familiarity with general dentistry practices and dental terminology is essential

Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical coding practices

Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and provide compassionate patient care

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation of medical records

Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is beneficial
