KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and quality standards

Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work area

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of food orders

Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that food is prepared and served quickly and efficiently

Execute other duties and assist other departments/positions as needed as assigned by Executive Chef, GM, or Ownership.

Understand and adhere to the company’s policy & procedures as defined in the employee policy handbook.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience as a Line Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably at a brewpub or similar establishment.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures

Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

Ability to work independently and multi-task.

Possess excellent time management skills.

Experience working in a beer-centric restaurant is a plus.

Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) without the use of a calculator.

Possess high-integrity and open-mindedness.

Ability to work a flexible schedule as determined by business needs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift 40lbs. and stand for extended periods of time (8+ hours, excluding breaks).

Able to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and regularly lift up and move to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds.

Frequently required to use hand-to-finger motions, handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms.

Able to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting.


SCHEDULE

Full time, 8 hour shifts. Evenings and weekends required.

REPORTING

The line cook will report to the Executive Chef, or anyone as appointed by ownership.

COMPENSATION

$19.00-$24.00 per hour, paid in accordance with the company’s normal payroll cycle.

Split tips with FOH team.
