Job Summary:

This position is responsible for helping to prepare, wash, clean, and sanitize keg shells and brewery tanks. This person will also fill and deliver kegs for distribution operations. Tasks involve lifting, moving, pulling, and pushing kegs and heavy equipment. The candidate will use a forklift and pallet jacks daily. Must be comfortable working in a chaotic environment. Brewery workers are expected to have a positive attitude and contribute to the success of the team and the cleanliness of the brewery. This is a fast-paced working environment. This position can expect 30-40 hours of work per week based on seasonality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain a clean cellar

Come in prepared to work.

Understand the day's objective by communicating with the production team.

CIP (clean-in-place) of fermentation vessels, brite beer tanks, and other equipment

Follow all safety guidelines.

Double check the volume of CO2 in beer is at the correct temperature and carbonation level for packaging.

Keeping track of clean and dirty tanks.

Dispose of excess yeast which is not suitable for reuse

Communicate with the Lead Brewer/brewers/Packaging Manager throughout the day to keep the day organized, running on time, and able to maintain a good workflow.

Primary focus should be to safely make beer and provide a safe working environment which allows us to work cleanly and produce great beer in an environment with minimal stress.

Assist in the cleaning of the cellar areas and the washing of equipment, floors and tools to comply with company standards.

Document (via computer and manual logs) cleaning, packaging, brewing, and maintenance tasks.

Clean, sanitize, transport, and organize kegs.

Organize & clean walk-in cooler: Pick, prepare and load orders for delivery

Assist brewers with day-to-day tasks.

Assist with external events such as tap takeovers, beer festivals, and related events.

Drive a company van

Operate a forklift as necessary to load and unload orders

Comfortable working in wet, hot, cold, and consistently loud environments.

Ideal Candidate:

The candidate should be enthusiastic & have some knowledge of craft beer, be able to communicate well with others, follow standard operating procedures, have problem-solving and technical skills, be dependable and work with accuracy. Must have a good DMV record and a driver's license. Must be 21 or older. Previous brewery experience (home or professional) preferred. This is not an entry level position; we are looking a person with a strong passion for the beer industry and a desire to advance personal and professional skills

Compensation and Benefits:
