N17 The Lane: Hiring Cook/server for catering

We are looking for a cook/server for our pop up events. This position has to be flexible, either cooking/cleaning for our catering business or for our restaurant bar in Culver City. We operate our catering within our restaurant N17 The Lane.

Compensation: $17/hr paid weekly.

Responsibilities for Job at Catering:

-Cook for exact head count for event

-Organize all items for events, making sure to bring chaffing trays, sternos, serving spoons, plates, napkins, etc.

-Set up at event space for a pop up restaurant

-Serve customers food/Collect payment

-Breakdown event pop up items, clean up area and bring back all items to wash

Responsibilities for Job at Restaurant:

-Opening Tidying

-Sweep and mop the dining room

-Sweep and mop the bathrooms

-Clean and restock bathrooms

-Line trash bins

-Wash dishes

-Wash, dry, and return all other dishes for general restaurant usage

-Organizing First-Use Dishes for Catering / Restaurant Usage

Food Prep:

When time allows, complete basic food prep tasks as assigned by the Kitchen Operations Manager. Examples include peeling potatoes, cleaning onions, etc.

Closing Cleanup:

-Empty and clean floor sink drain

-Clean sinks with sanitizer

-Wipe standing water off of dish drying tables

-Mop floors

-Take trash from kitchen to dumpsters and reline all trash cans

-Break down cardboard boxes and take to recycling

Qualifications:

-Must be available to work weekdays and weekends

-Must have ServSafe Certificate

-Must have positive attitude and able to work as a team

- Must have a car
