NOW HIRING SHOP STEWARD

Looking for a jack of all trades to join our team as a full time shop steward!

McCall's Meat & Fish Co. is a gourmet butcher shop and market.

This job posting is for our location in Santa Monica on Montana Ave.

The position would focus on all around upkeep of the shop + support of its day to day needs.

Duties include:

- Restocking retail shelves + produce fridges throughout the day

- Slicing, packing + restocking deli meats

- Packing and storing farmers market produce on produce haul days

- Light customer facing counter service / cashiering to support FOH during busy hours

- Light prep work such as dressings, sauces, etc.

- Wrapping up meat + seafood properly at end of each shift

- Overall shop upkeep - keeping the store tidy, organized + clean

Requirements:

- Must have basic knowledge of meat, seafood + cooking procedures

- Must have an open schedule

- Must have a strong work ethic, self starter mentality + a positive attitude

- Must be fluent in English (bilingual in Spanish a plus!)

- Must have California Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Certificate.

Pay/Benefits:

- $18-20/hr + tips.
