Editorial Lead

The Editorial Team Lead directs a team of writers and editor's, assigns the work, holds the schedule, and is accountable for the ONC publication pipeline. Most of the work is coordinating and developing other people rather than producing your own content.WHAT YOU WOULD DO Own the publication calendar and the story pipeline across written formats Set deadlines and follow up when interns slip up Manage and revise “How-To” documents to teach new interns quickly about existing processes for publishing content at ONC Chair standing editorial meetings weekly Attend Leadership meetings and All-Staff meetings to provide updates Help HR recruit, interview, and onboard new contributors Train new editors and writers and set the standards on sourcing, process, and format Safeguard ONC's nonpartisan positioning and branding Coordinate with other teams, such as Media & Marketing, for opportunities to do joint projects This is an unpaid internship
