Safety Specialist– Care Campus

ABOUT THE ROLEThe Safety Specialist supports day-to-day participant and site safety throughout the Care Campus, including the courtyard, entrances, common areas, service areas, and designated perimeter areas such as Crocker Street.WHAT YOU’LL DOMaintain a consistent, visible presence and monitor assigned areas for safety concerns, participants in distress, and environmental hazards.Engage participants respectfully using trauma-informed, person-centered, and nonjudgmental approaches.Use trained de-escalation and conflict-resolution techniques and request additional support when a situation exceeds the role’s scope.Respond within training to safety incidents, behavioral health crises, medical emergencies, and suspected overdoses, and complete required documentation.WORK ENVIRONMENT & SCHEDULEHighly active and visible role with frequent walking and standing indoors and outside. Day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be assigned based on campus needs.
