Here, patients find a compassionate environment and hope for a longer, healthier life.We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Nurse Practitioner to execute the following job duties with our outpatient Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary population.Essential Duties:

Responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process, supervision of clinical practice, research involvement, consultative services, inter and intra-departmental liaison, education, leadership and patient care management across the health care continuum. from preventative and acute care through discharge.

Evaluating patients (includes: chart review, performing history and physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, reviewing results and reporting to the Physician as needed.

You will provide outpatient services to Hepato-pancreatico-biliary (HPB) patients, coordinate activities of outpatient service, including facilitation of care coordination/patient education, timely documentation of patient progress notes, after visit summaries, and CMS required care coordination notes.

You will coordinate communication of patient ADT and surgeries with referring and collaborating MDs.

You will develop and implement patient management plans and assist in provision of continuity of care.

The Nurse Practitioner serves as a patient advocate throughout the care process and represents the medical center at regional and national meetings/conferences.

QualificationsEducation:

Master’s of Nursing Degree (MSN) required

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required

License/Certification:

Current State of California Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner License required

National certification as an NP required.

Current ACLS or BLS certification from the American Heart Association required

DEA license required.

AGACNP preferred.

Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience required

Experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred

Experience with hepato-pancreatico-biliary patients desired
