Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Office Assistant in the bustling city of Los Angeles, California. This role is central to the smooth operation of our business in the hospitality industry. The Office Assistant will play a key role in a variety of tasks, ranging from administrative duties to customer-facing responsibilities. Responsibilities: Ensure efficient reservation of rooms to facilitate smooth operations. Provide assistance with audio and video setups, enhancing the quality of our presentations and meetings. Liaise with building security to ensure the safety and security of the premises. Create badges for staff and visitors, contributing to the security and professional image of our organization. Sign in visitors, thus maintaining an accurate record of all personnel in the building. Assist in the setup and take down of events, ensuring the successful execution of company functions. Assist with catering duties as required, contributing to the provision of quality food services. Proactively perform other duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to the role. Maintain an organized and proactive approach to work, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and collaboration. Requirements Applicants should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role Proficiency in office administration is required Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for this position Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills Knowledge of office management systems and procedures Familiarity with email scheduling tools, like Email Scheduler and Boomerang Experience with office equipment, including printers and fax machines Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and record-keeping practices Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel and MS Word Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset Must be detail-oriented and highly responsible High school diploma; additional qualifications in Office Administration are a plus.
