DescriptionThe Medical Director for Senior Care (MD SC) at UCLA Health will be responsible for the establishment and oversight of specialized Senior Care clinics. The MD SC's work will include partnering closely with the CMO AC and the Chief of Operations, Community Clinic Network to set the overall direction, strategy, and operational structure for the Senior Care practices. In addition, the Medical Director for Senior Care (MD SC) will be responsible for leading the management and day-to-day oversight of the Senior Care clinics, including but not limited to: hiring and managing physician personnel, developing clinical workflows and scheduling templates, monitoring and ensuring high quality care delivery. The MD SC will be responsible for administrative and clinical oversight of physician teams in the Senior Care clinics and will partner with an administrative clinic manager to oversee clinical workflows in the clinics. The MD SC will work to cultivate new ideas for driving business performance of the Senior Care practices by leading the clinical team, managing financial outcomes, and supporting patient retention and growth through effective operations and direct patient care.The MD SC will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary stakeholders across the health system in finance, utilization management, operations, population health, data analytics, nursing, pharmacy, and behavioral and health services research as needed.The University of California, Los Angeles is required to provide an estimate of the salary range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Salary offers are determined based on candidate qualifications and experience. The target salary range for this position is 275000 - 378000.Qualifications

A board-certified physician with at least 5 years of experience in leading clinical operations at a large healthcare organization or integrated delivery system with oversight for ambulatory services.

Experience working in and leading clinical teams in Managed Care, Medicare Advantage, or other value-based reimbursement models.

Proven experience in establishing strategic priorities and building the infrastructure to implement large-scale initiatives and behavioral change within an organization.

Experience in data analytics and data reporting.

Experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating operational workflows in the ambulatory setting.

The ability to problem solve and work collaboratively with a large number of diverse stakeholders.

Experience effectively managing, supporting, and mentoring a team of physicians and non-physicians.

Experience utilizing the approaches and methods of process improvement and implementation science as evidenced by achieving targeted outcomes.

Possession of an active CA Medical License
