Small group tutoring program seeks dynamic teachers 10-20 hours per wk

We're looking for 2 classroom teachers with the energy of a coach or camp counselor who would love to work in a smaller more supportive environment to continue to grow their teaching skills and serve some amazing students!

We are a small independent tutoring company founded by classroom teachers, with offices in Culver City and Manhattan Beach. We are hiring, part-time to start immediately, approx 10-20 hours per week to start, if you can cover at least two subjects. Potential for insurance and retirement plan benefits if you are willing to work 30 hours.

Manhattan Beach:

Hours

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday

Approx 3:30-8:30

Wednesday 2:15-8:30

May have opportunities this fall to add morning hours to serve homeschool/hybrid students

Plus everyone on the team puts in some remote work/meeting hours and occasional Saturdays

We serve 4th-12th graders, so you must have experience as a middle or high school teacher. We will consider applicants who have only tutored and not taught in a school setting if you have extensive experience, references, and small group management skills.

You would be working collaboratively on a small, highly professional team including the owner/CEO. The hours are consistent and the environment is supportive. We work in-person at our centers in a dynamic group setting but with opportunity to do one-on-one and very small group instruction. There is a strong feeling of community and also a great chance to get to know students very well over a period of years.

You need to have strong teaching background in at least one of these, and be willing to support students in a second area if given prep time/materials:

English/History including AP level

Math esp Alg II, pre-calc, AP Calc

Science including AP level

Spanish
