Action Duct Cleaning is a three-generation, family-owned business, founded in 1978, serving the top names in business in California and around the United States. We are a fast-paced, enthusiastic, values-based company with a positive work environment.

We need an experienced Business Development specialist with HR experience, strong skills in marketing and sales and organizational expertise to serve as our Director of HR and Business Development to help our company expand in California and nationwide.

Duties:

1. Oversight of Action Duct’s (ADC) two outer licensed offices.

2. Oversight of the establishment and running of Action Duct branch offices, starting in Sacramento and San Diego.

3. Oversight of marketing to national accounts.

4. Assistance with coordination amongst ADC HQ, licensed offices, and branch offices to arrange referral fees, commissions, or any other agreements so ADC HQ, licensed offices, and branch offices can refer clients to each other, subcontract work from each other, sell work for each other, etc.

5. HR Oversight, including:

a. Staff recruitment, hiring, and onboarding

b. Staff training, including oversight of fully establishing all training materials, checklists, workflows and mentoring programs for all positions in the company, including general onboarding.

c. Policies and Procedures for all departments, updated annually

6. Quarterly or monthly budgets prepared for the president.

7. Taking part in growth planning, programming, execution, and oversight, including new hires.

8. Contractor legal oversight, ensuring contractors are on contract, have licenses if needed, etc.

9. Staying abreast of legal requirements for

a. Minimum wage

b. Independent contractor regulations

c. HR matters

d. Licensing/permits, etc., in branch offices in other cities and states

e. Any other legal concerns.

10. Monitoring bank balances and A/Rs as needed.

11. Review ADC employee CC statements monthly.

12. Some legal matters.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor's degree in related field

2. HR experience and, ideally, certification

3. Strong sales and marketing experience and skills

4. Familiarity with Quickbooks.

5. Strong skills in Word, Excel, and internet research.

6. Excellent representation of the Action Duct brand and values.

7. Excellent verbal and written literacy.

8. Excellent math skills.

9. Excellent problem-solving skills.

10. Excellent management skills and the ability to motivate others while maintaining high group morale.

11. Ability to push projects through to completion.

12. Excellent customer relations skills.

13. Highly responsible and accountable.

14. Highly trustworthy and honest with respect for confidentiality of company information.

15. Must be willing to learn continuously to keep up with new technology and Action Duct’s broad range of client needs.

16. Available to travel.

17. Availability on evenings, nights and weekends on some occasions.

18. Ability to deal with emergencies.
