Cloud Security/Operations Engineer - UC22-00073

Location: United State - Fully Remote - West CoastThe position requires previous AWS cloud security development and operations experience. Excellent communications skills are required for collaboration with technical and non-technical individuals of the university. Candidates must have proficient time management skills to work in a dynamic operations environment with varying priorities and schedule demands.

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience programming tasks using JavaScript, JSON, and Python Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Cloud Formation, configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef, and code revision tools like Git or AWS Code Pipeline.
  • Working knowledge of database management systems and standards.
  • Knowledge relating to database system security design.
  • Experience with ITIL or similar IT best practices frameworks

Required Skills:
  • Understanding of and experience troubleshooting client and server issues and actions that can be taken to improve or correct performance.
  • Experience in incident response and digital forensics, including data collection, examination, and analysis.
  • Thorough knowledge of business and process analysis functions.
  • Knowledge of the design, development, and application of technology and systems to meet business security needs.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer security tools, best practices, and policies including demonstrated experience securing server-based software.
  • Demonstrated skill at administering moderately complex security controls and configurations to computer hardware, software, and networks.
  • Demonstrated testing and test planning skills.
