Sr. Product Manager, Global Upstream Marketing – TMTTThis is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional marketing and strategy professional with prior medical device experience to join a growing team that is boldly designing transcatheter mitral and tricuspid therapies from the ground up. Edwards Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies (TMTT) business unit is dedicated to solving the complex challenges of mitral and tricuspid disease in order to transform treatment and significantly improve patients’ lives. Join our team and make your mark as we work to change the standard of care for millions of patients suffering from the effects of valvular heart disease.The Senior Product Manager, TMTT, is responsible for leading patient-focused innovation by:

Driving all aspects of product development from project inception through first clinical use and up to commercial launch

Documenting, managing, and communicating the product development process for new products and technologies in order to achieve and maintain market leadership; and

Applying expertise in developing and planning marketing programs and activities to identify future needs and better serve physicians and their patients.

How you will make an impact:

Plan marketing projects and activities with accountability for successful completion within scope of project deliverables including supporting technical team meetings and driving product design requirements using voice of customer inputs

Build trust with key thought leaders to anticipate the future market environment, changes in economic climate, the onset of new competitors including substitutes and adjacent players and to predict/drive future needs for current and future customers

Collaborate with management to create, communicate, and execute global market strategies and actionable market plans to advance the business and generate value

Design, collect, and interpret market research and voice-of-customer (VOC) strategies in order to define unmet needs and product requirements for early-stage product lines

Provide direction and guidance based on expert understanding of internal and external device and market dynamics (e.g., product functionality, lifecycle, voice of customer research, clinical evidence) to new product development (NPD) project teams

Identify and evaluate marketing process improvements and/or course correction/course alignment opportunities

Drive results by executing cross-functional marketing programs from inception to completion

Evolve product pipeline and drive alignment by effectively collaborating with cross-functional partners, especially R&D and Clinical Development peers

Identify, track, predict, and prepare for the onset of new competitors including adjacent players

Define differentiated value propositions, positioning, and messaging for product lines

Partner with creative agencies for development of product images, animations, and naming

Review design control documents and labeling through Marketing lens to ensure accuracy and timely execution

Engage with US and OUS commercial teams to coordinate efforts and drive adoption of products

What you will need (required):

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum 8 years of experience of related work experience or Master's Degree with a minimum of 6 years related experience in sales, marketing, or healthcare industry

Experience in medical device or healthcare industry

Proven successful project management skills

Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

Knowledge of own area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards

Extensive understanding of internal and external product and market landscape

Thorough understanding of marketing concepts and principles, and market research designs

Ability to create comprehensive marketing strategies with supporting plans and the ability to execute.

Possess the ability to measure and track performance/success of programs/initiatives

Ability to strategically forecast and plan product lines for short-term and long-term accuracy based on market development, sales trends, competition and changing market dynamics.

Ability to assess and understand market share, pricing, ASPs, competitive dynamics

Possess strong clinical knowledge, experience and knowledge of the clinical areas where Edwards' products are used or intended to be used, understand the purchasing process and challenges for product adoption in complex healthcare networks

Strict attention to detail

Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Ability to represent projects with expertise and leadership, collaborate closely with cross-functional team, marketing peers, and leaders, and manage needs and messaging to upper management

Ability to maintain a strong relationship with R&D and Clinical Development engineers, downstream marketing partners, regional sales team, clinical specialists, governmental affairs, clinical economics, and training to ensure effective and optimal integration of efforts

Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., expense reporting, pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.For California, the base pay range for this position is $120,000 to $170,000 (highly experienced).The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
