Local Smash Truck Operator / Driver

Hiring Immediately - Part to Full Time Driver / Operator

We are seeking a Truck Driver/Smash Operator to join our team! You will be responsible for safely operating our trucks on a daily local route. Trucks are outfitted with a 3-ton rolling drum on a boom that you operate to pulverize the contents of open-top waste containers, requiring your ability to skillfully operate the equipment at each customer's facility.

Responsibilities:

· Safely drive and operate a 25,000 lb. truck

· Skillfully operate a hydraulic controlled machine

· Properly track and document activity via smartphone

· Report any issues or incidents to dispatch

· Inspect truck before and after trip using a smartphone app checklist and of course common sense

· Maintain truck in clean, organized and presentable condition

· Demonstrate complete reliability and accountability

· Impress our customers and prospects - You are the face of our company, interacting with our customers each day. Professionalism, cleanliness of your equipment and uniform, and pride in your work and the value you provide your customers, are all very important to our culture

Requirements:

· Team player able to work with our professional Salesperson(s) to demonstrate our capabilities

· Strong work ethic with long term job history

· Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields

· Ability to handle a physical workload - You must physically be able to climb a 4-foot ladder approximately 20 times per day, and occasionally place spilled debris back in a dumpster.

· Tremendous reliability and accountability – our customers will depend on you for their business to operate well and to save money

· Skilled with smartphone and able to use our apps to track routes and complete work activities

· Entrepreneurial spirit, interest in growing your career and responsibilities

· Bi-lingual – English & Spanish preferred

Additional Information

Military and/or veteran candidates are strongly encouraged to apply

Must pass a background check, drug test and have valid driver's license

Clean MVR required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour DOE

Monday – Friday

Day shift

Some overtime, weekends and evening work may be required

Experience:

Heavy Equipment Operation: 2+ years (Preferred)

Truck Driving: 2+ years (Preferred)

CDL: Preferred but not required
