PLASTIC COMPANY LOOKING FOR MAINTENANCE MECHANICS TO COVER 2ND AND 3RD SHIFT

TEMP TO HIRE POSITION

PAY DOE

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

2-10 year’s progressive experience in manufacturing environment, machine maintenance and repair

Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating etc.)

Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations

Excellent planning and leadership abilities

An eye for detail

Computer savvy, Information Technology training a plus

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

High school diploma

Degree from a vocational school will be a plus

Professional Certifications (e. CMRP or HVAC certified) are preferred

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Experience with PLC required

Ability to set up VFDs

Boiler experience required

Working with injection molding.

Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.

Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of the buildings does not deteriorate.

Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.

Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.

Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms.

Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment.

Compliance with legal environmental and safety requirements of the area.

Know the environmental aspects of the area and its control.

Know the environmental impacts associated with their activities.

Follow all Environmental and Safety policies.

Comply with procedures, regulations, and instructions of environmental and safety programs.

Conducts employee performance evaluations

Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.

Determine and eliminate root causes and diminish occurrences in the line production process to reduce downtime.

All other duties, as assigned

PHYSICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work performed in factory settings

Exposure to shop environment such as noise and dust

Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs
