Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing warehouse equipment and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role involves working with leather-processing machinery, plumbing systems, and basic electrical components.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on leather production and warehouse machinery.

Troubleshoot and fix mechanical issues to minimize downtime.

Conduct basic plumbing repairs, including leaks, drains, and water line maintenance.

Perform minor electrical work such as replacing outlets, switches, lighting, and diagnosing basic electrical issues.

Inspect equipment and facilities to identify potential maintenance needs or safety concerns.

Maintain maintenance logs and report major repair needs to management.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.

Assist with preventative maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan.

Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs when necessary.

Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a warehouse or industrial setting.

Knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial machinery.

Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems.

Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.

Work Environment:

Warehouse and industrial setting.

Exposure to machinery, tools, and maintenance materials.

May require standing, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
