Automotive Technician

King of Hybrid & EV Auto Repair, or KOH as a shortcut, is the first Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid, and Electric Vehicle (EV) auto repair specialist shop in the Inland Empire, and the only specialist in many Electric Vehicles in this area, Also it has gained the highest reputation in IE and one of the top five hybrid/EV repair shop specialist in southern California.

From basic services such as brake jobs, oil changes and tune ups, up to rebuilding the batteries, electronics, parts and engines rebuild all we do. Also we provide specialist preventive/ scheduled maintenance that fits the vehicle needs. Furthermore, we provide specialized complicated diagnoses.

KOH now services not only Inland Empire, but also covers the high desert area, low desert, LA county, San Diego county, Orange county, and more of the north CA .

KOH has one of the biggest parts stock all over southern California for rebuilt engines, High voltage battery, inverters, power converters, ABS units, accessories and a lot of specific parts for Hybrid and EV vehicles. We also have very good wide relationships with the car dealerships helping them resolve so many of the challenges of these special cars, since even the dealers do not always have the experience, specialties, and the tools for a lot of jobs in this field.

Position Summary

As a key member, you will learn and develop key skills in vehicle diagnostics, repair and maintenance. In this role, you will gain hands-on learning of a variety of automotive systems and services under the guidance of experienced technicians. The Automotive Technician will participate in routine inspections, contribute to diagnose the vehicle and assist with repair procedures. Additionally, the Automotive Technician may interact with customers to explain repair procedures, respond to inquiries and provide excellent service. Overall, this role requires a combination of mechanical dexterity, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering quality work in a fast-paced environment. This role offers the individual a unique opportunity to build a solid foundation in automotive repair while contributing to the success of the entire team.

Pay Range: $18.50 - $27.00

Responsibilities (include But Not Limited To) :

Fluids and filters changes : Engine oil, transmission fluid and filters.

Replace parts, and batteries

Perform scheduled maintenance and preventive services.

Perform inspections.

Tune ups

Electrical system experience is a plus

Road test vehicles

Coordinate with the team and follow the schedule

Familiar with All data or Michel on demand, or any other repair platform is a plus

Ability to do consistent physical activity – reach below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, and squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.

Ability to read and understand instructions, written estimates, and work orders

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Work through competing priorities and adapt easily to a fast-paced environment

Ability to provide personable, friendly customer service to internal and external customers

Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company's Values in all interactions with customers, coworkers and vendors.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Maintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs.

Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards.

Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules.

Helps maintain shop appearance and safety standards and ensures the shop runs in an efficient manner by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions.

Attends all staff meetings, training, and educational classes as required.

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications (include But Not Limited To) :

Ability to implement all the responsibilities above

Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles

Must have a minimum 5 years of automotive repair experience, completion of Vocational-Technical School program in a related field or demonstrated skills via third party certificates/assessment.

A.S.E certification in at least one of A1-A8 is preferred. Will accept equivalent external qualifications or training certifications. (New Hires with external similar qualification/certification will have up to 2 years of employment to comply

Reading, writing, and math skills

Position #2 Position Summary

The Lead Technician position requires talent and technical expertise in diagnosing vehicle operation and electrical systems, while also utilizing leadership and coaching skills to inspire a team to deliver better customer service and satisfaction.

Pay Range: $21.00/hr. - $30.00/hr.

A performance-based compensation may apply which helps you to reward your skills and experiences.

Responsibilities (include But Not Limited To):

Perform scheduled maintenance and preventive services.

Perform inspections.

Tune ups

Electrical system experience is a plus

Diagnosis of brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.

Road test vehicles

Coordinate with the team and follow the schedule

Small four cylinder Engine Rebuild, and head jobs.

Familiar with All data or Michel on demand, or any other repair platform is a plus

Tesla experience is a Plus.

Supervision, or management skills and experience is a plus.

Ability to do consistent physical activity – reach below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, and squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.

Ability to read and understand instructions, written estimates, and work orders

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Work through competing priorities and adapt easily to a fast-paced environment

Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.

Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.

Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.

Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company's Values in all interactions with customers, coworkers and vendors.

Performs other duties as assigned.
