Live-in Care Giver

Join me in caring for an 88-year-old man with dementia. Advanced dementia requires 24/7 care and companionship. Your duties will include bathing, toileting, dressing/undressing, administering meds, a simple exercise routine, daily walks, meal prep, and nighttime assistance. We will share these responsibilities but you will be the main provider of his care.

Your large bedroom with a private shower has a walk-in closet, and plenty of room for a bed, dresser, desk, and occasional chair. (we have some furniture or you can bring your own). You will have an assigned parking space, WiFi and cable, and we will share our meals. You will have one week-day and one weekend day off, as well as 3 paid holidays each year. Your salary will be $3000.00 per month. We have a fenced yard so your small dog or cat is welcome to join our family. We live in a mobile home community with a lake and lots of birds.

Previous experience is important but willingness to learn and adapt as his condition changes are just as necessary. We will run and background check and issue a 1099 form to you at the end of the year. You must be strong enough to physically assist with standing/sitting. Our goal is to have to join us in late April or Early May. You could start learning your duties before then by working with our excellent aide before he leaves us.
