Salary: $20-$23/hour
Job Type: Part-Time/ Full-Time
Summary: This is a part-time/full-time position. A Heaven’s Best technician will perform a variety of cleaning duties such as power washing, upholstery cleaning, specialized carpet cleaning, hard floor cleaning and restoration, and more. This technician will also be required to use electrically powered equipment. Responsibilities may also include performing the full range of assigned custodial duties.
Requirements
-Minimum 21 years of age
-Pass a background check
-Must have a valid California Driver’s License and a clean driving record
-Must have own reliable transportation to and from work
-Must be able to work safely at all times
-Must own slip-resistant shoes
-Must be able to lift 65 -95lbs
-Must be able to lift heavy equipment upstairs
-Must be on time for work each shift
-Work in small/tight areas
-Work on feet for up to 10 hrs at a time
-Must be able to climb a ladder, not afraid of heights
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
-Perform floor cleaning, sanitization, and maintenance (i.e. pressure washing, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and polishing)
-Obtain and exercise specialized knowledge of the methods and techniques for cleaning a variety of floor surfaces such as wood, marble, tile, carpet, wool, concrete, and more.
-Utilization of various equipment such as extractor equipment, electrically powered buffers, pressure washers, and vacuum cleaners.
-Maintain equipment, materials, and supplies in proper condition.
-Ensure all equipment is stored properly and all supplies are adequately in stock
-Comply with all material safety data sheets and other safety regulations. Attend all safety training classes and successfully complete the onboarding training process.
-Perform the other facilities and custodial duties as requested.
-Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

-Ability to operate mechanical equipment related to this work.
-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to walk, use hands to fingers, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
-The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, talk, and/or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 65 pounds, and occasionally lift up to approximately 95 pounds.
-Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Education and/or Experience
-High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
-Six-month related experience or training preferred but not required
-Training in general understanding of MSDS and OSHA requirements; operation and maintenance of floor care equipment and basic to advanced level in custodial technician training preferred but not required
-Must have excellent customer service skills
Language Skills
-Ability to speak and comprehend English
-Ability to communicate effectively over the phone with co-workers and customers
-Ability to read and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
-Ability to print and speak simple sentences
Mathematical Skills
-Can add, subtract, multiply, and divide two-digit numbers by 10’s and 100’s.
-Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
-Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions
