Payroll Clerk

This position will call for a variety of duties, including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. In order to successfully perform as part of this dynamic, fast-growing team, a candidate will need to communicate effectively with both internal team members and outside customers. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is based in the Gardena, California area and is a long-term contract / temporary to hire employment role.Key responsibilities

Make sure data entered into spreadsheets and the payroll system is accurate

Administer instruction/training to employees regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.

Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc

Configure custom reports

Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system

Build a system of administering and distributing reports

Manage communications with employees on timesheet approvals Requirements - Proven ability to quickly learn new systems

Comprehensive knowledge of payroll

Expertise in Abila MIP

Payroll software experience preferred

Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must

Previous payroll experience
