California, Cupertino, 95014 Cupertino USAPDS Tech Commercial, Inc. is seeking candidates for a QA Engineer (Manual) II in Cupertino, California.Job Title: QA Engineer (Manual) IIJob Type: Full time; contract (12 months )Location: Cupertino, CA 95014Schedule: First shift, onsitePay Rate: $52.42 per hourJob Description:The Field Service Diagnostics & Repair Engineering team is seeking candidates with strong software QA experience to validate diagnostic and repair tools used in field service channels. This position requires a hardworking, self-motivated individual with QA experience, excellent cross-functional communication skills, and an eagerness to adjust to rapid change.
Build and complete well-structured, end-to-end test plans and test cases, integrating feedback from developers and partners throughout the process
Use bug-tracking software to report all issues encountered during testing
Engage developers and team leads to help drive high priority issues to resolution
Provide program managers and team leads with timely, accurate QA status during all project testing phases
Provide support to developers, readiness, localization, and other cross-functional teams
Contribute to initiatives to improve the overall integration and QA process, such as identifying and closing gaps in testing coverage or inefficiencies in workflows
Complete and coordinate all activities in a test plan to ensure that objectives are met
Key Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in software QA or related field
Demonstrated understanding of software QA methodologies
Curiosity and a willingness to deep dive into unfamiliar technical areas
Intimate familiarity with component isolation methodology and troubleshooting theory; familiarity with modern software debugging techniques is a plus
Demonstrated comfort with Darwin/Unix-like operating systems and navigating the command-line interface
Confident in managing and prioritizing daily tasks
Ability to distill complex technical information into clear and concise cross-functional documentation
Ability to develop comprehensive, user-driven test plans from software feature descriptions and business requirements documents
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Thrives in a dynamic, collaborative team environment
Additional Requirements
Experience with Python or another scripting language is preferred
Education
3-5 years of experience in software QA or related field
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
