Human Resources (HR) Assistant

Description Job Title: Human Resources Coordinator (Urgent Hire)Location: Chula Vista, San Diego (Hybrid Role)Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for Human Resources and a desire to grow your career in the biotech industry? Our staffing agency is urgently seeking candidates for a Human Resources Coordinator role for a reputable company in the Biotech industry located in Chula Vista, San Diego. This is a contract to hire position with a hybrid work model, but candidates must be located in San Diego to be considered. Additionally, candidates must be currently unemployed to be eligible for this role.Responsibilities:

Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communication.

Support new hire onboarding process, including preparing new hire paperwork, conducting orientations, and facilitating training sessions.

Maintain employee records and databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.

Coordinate employee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.

Assist with employee relations matters, including investigating complaints and facilitating resolution.

Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in Human Resources roles preferred.

Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.

Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Schedule: Full-time, with flexibility for remote work as needed

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate during contract period; potential for permanent hire with comprehensive benefits package thereafter.
