Manage and maintain Cisco network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN environments to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Implement and maintain network security solutions, including Cisco ASA/Firepower firewalls, VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs).
Monitor network traffic and bandwidth usage to identify bottlenecks, performance issues, and security threats.
Administer and support network protocols, such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and VLANs.
Perform routine network upgrades, patches, and backups to ensure compliance and security.
Ensure network redundancy and failover configurations to maximize uptime and disaster recovery readiness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network-related projects and technology implementations.
Maintain network documentation, including topology diagrams, configurations, and inventory lists.
Respond to and resolve network outages or performance issues, providing root cause analysis.
Provide technical support for network users and manage the escalation of critical issues.
Implement and manage network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies related to network operations and security.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Certifications:
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) required.
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) preferred.
Experience:
3+ years of experience managing Cisco-based networks.
Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
Experience with network security technologies, including firewalls and VPNs.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers (ISR/ASR), switches (Catalyst/Nexus), and firewalls (ASA/Firepower).
Strong knowledge of network protocols, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and IPsec VPNs.
Experience with VLAN configuration, IP addressing, and subnetting.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, or Nagios.
Understanding of network security best practices and tools, including Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across multiple departments.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities.
