Gathers/reviews/distributes safety-related statistical information
Monitors site-specific programs/requirements/compliance
Recognizes and follows PCL and local legislative requirements
Anticipates questions based on experience, knowledge, and understanding of client needs
Conceptually visualizes a completed project or project component (e.g., generator installation process)
Recognizes behaviors, conditions, and activities that can adversely affect health
Interprets simple work sequences
Liaises effectively with project and field management
Applies basic knowledge of behavioral concepts
Interprets, communicates, and reinforces project safety standards to workforce
Qualifications
Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a degree relevant to the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) industry
A desire to pursue a career as an HSE professional
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
18 years of age or older and possess a valid Driver’s License
Willing to work and live in the Phoenix, Arizona area
Willing to temporarily relocate to project locations
This is an hourly non-exempt position
Must be able to navigate through a construction site on a daily basis, climb ladders and stairs
Must be able to work around and near heavy equipment, cranes, and other construction equipment
Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a background check, a physical, and a substance abuse test each conducted by a third party
