DescriptionThe Brand Experience organization is the growth and development engine for Brands in the Amazon Store. We reward brands who provide a great experience to our customers, and guide those who do not towards simple solutions to achieve a great customer experience. Our team builds products that delight and inform customers while fueling brand growth. Our suite of tools enable brands to tell their unique brand and product stories, optimize content through statistical A/B experimentation, provide data and insights to grow their business, solicit and manage customer reviews as well as engage with our mutual customers through a variety of channels.As an SDE on our start-up team, you will be building cutting edge and highly distributed systems to support brand owners around the world on Amazon. The ideal candidate should have a very strong customer focus coupled with a passion for continuous, data driven improvements. They should have a strong sense of ownership and a passion for delivering creative solutions for complex problems. A commitment to mentoring, teamwork, agility, and strong communication skills are absolute requirements. Creating reliable, scalable, and high performance services requires exceptional technical expertise and a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science and large-scale distributed systems. You should be somebody who enjoys working on complex system software, is customer-centric, and feels strongly about building good software as well as making that software achieve its operational goals.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Tempe, AZ, USABasic Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
