Curly Goat Ranch is located in Prescott. The cross roads are Gurley and Overland. Close to Yavapai College, Best Western and the Veteran's Cemetary.

I'm looking for someone who lives close that is available to work in the mornings. We start early. Summer start time is 6 am. Winter start time shirts to 7 am as the days get shorter.

There is some flexibility in the position. It can be two days a week (Monday and Thursday) for 3 or 4 hours each day depending on what needs done. It could also be 5 days a week for shorter days if that works better for you. This can be discussed. There is definitely the opportunity for more hours as my vision for the property comes together.

This would be a great opportunity for someone looking to learn and grow. We'll be setting up a commerical vermicomposting system for animal waste this year and will be planting out an orchard as well, among other things.

This position needs someone who enjoys animals, has a positive attitude, a handful of patience. It's a somewhat physically demanding position with some lifting.

A general overview is moving about 8 or 10 hay bales across the yard each week, with a dolly, they don't have to be lifted off the ground. Just wheeled to where they go. Some unloading of 50 lb feed bags when we restock feed monthly. General pen clean up which involves raking and dumping the material into the compost bins. Scrubbing water buckets. It would also include horse manure pick up and putting into piles. There are no horse stalls to muck. Could also include watering of fruit trees. Setting up or watering new compost piles, etc

This is NOT a position for kids. I get asked this a lot so I'm just putting it out there from the beginning.

I'm also looking for an afternoon goat milker. I'll make a separate post about that but figured I'd mention it here as well.

This is a long term position. I'm not looking for temporary help. I'd love to find someone who can grow with the property.

You can find Curly Goat Ranch on Facebook or also check out our website at www.curlygoatranch.com to learn more about who/what we are.

If you're interested please email me a little about yourself, how close you are to the property and your phone number. I'll be reviewing applicants over the next week or so.

Thanks for your interest! :)

Donna
